We're Hiring: Live-In Camp Caretaker at Sky Mountain Outdoor Education Center located in Emigrant Gap, CA, about 30 miles west of Truckee, CA in the Tahoe National Forest.

Do you love the outdoors, fixing things, and living in the mountains?  Sky Mountain is looking for a self-motivated Live-In Camp Caretaker to start ASAP!

Compensation, Perks & Living:

• Private studio cabin/kitchenette provided on camp grounds.
• Paid utilities and internet
• Meals provided during active camp sessions.
• Pay ranges from $23.16 to $28.11 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• General building, grounds, equipment and vehicle upkeep (janitorial, plumbing, carpentry, minor electrical).
• Winter duties include snow plowing and clearing pathways.
• On-call availability during evenings/weekends for emergency needs, guest support and gate access.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining camp security.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Valid CA driver's license with a good record.
• Ability to work independently and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Salaried position at 20 hours/week + on-call availability.  Hours are mostly evening and weekends.
