Death Valley National Park Exploration!

Join us for another awesome AEOE camp-out in the incredible Death Valley National Park!

April 11- April 13, 2008

Cost $10

From the National Park's Website:

"Hottest, Driest Lowest: A superlative desert of streaming sanddunes, snow-capped mountains, multicolored rock layers, water-fluted canyons and three million acres of stone wilderness. Home to the Timbisha Shoshone and to plants and animals unique to the harshest deserts. A place of legend and a place of trial. Death Valley."

Activities: Trip to Badwaters, short hike up Golden Canyon a cool place to take pictures of sandstone formations, and drive over to a beautiful desert vista.

Where: Camping at Furnace Creek, Death Valley National Park

When: Arrive evening April 11, departing by noon April 13th

Cost: $10
*You must be a current AEOE member to participate, but remember a year membership in AEOE is only $15.

Bring: Camping gear, food, plenty of water, enthusiasm, and spirit of adventure!

Climate: Death Valley is generally sunny, dry, and clear throughout the year. The winters, November through March, are mild with occasional winter storms, but summers are extremely hot and dry. Winter requires warmer clothing and light to medium jackets. Sturdy walking shoes are important year round.
