Description: Terrific opportunity to join the Resident Camping Branch of the YMCA of San Diego County. YMCA Camp Marston and Raintree Ranch provide year-round programming for children, families and groups. Located in the beautiful mountains of Julian, CA.

Job Description: This entry-level director position carries responsibility for service to over 6,000 Guests and Campers year-round, including Adventure Guides, Family Camps, retreat and conference groups. During summer, this position will supervise the Raintree Ranch Camp, with 80 campers, 30 staff and 40 horses. Additional responsibilities include overseeing aquatics (pool & lake), obtaining bus driver’s license, budget management, promotion, staff hiring and supervision. Good potential for growth and mentoring in a stable, fiscally prudent YMCA Camp Branch.

Job Status: Full-Time

Qualifications:

• At least 21 years of age
• Able to demonstrate mature judgment and positive public relation skills
• Must have full physical capacity for standing, hiking or climbing for extended periods of time.
• Able to teach and lead camp activities
• Qualified to drive YMCA vehicles
• First Aid & CPR instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current Lifeguard Certification and have or obtain Lifeguard Instructor certification.
• Hold, or obtain, California Class B Drivers License for operating camp bus.

Salary: Starting salary $35,000 annually
