Program Description: Crossroads School is a K-12 independent private school located in Santa Monica. Our Environmental Outdoor Education (EOE) program provides a variety of environmental education programs for grades 4-12, with EOE weeks in the fall and spring for grades 4-8.

Job Description:
- Crossroads EOE provides a wide range of programs for its students; some offerings focus on technical outdoor skills such as kayaking, climbing, and wilderness travel, while others focus on the natural sciences such as geology, marine biology, and ecology.
- For all students in grades 4-8, one week per year is devoted to EOE trips, during which times students participate in their choice of environmental education programs.
- For Upper School students (grades 9-12), recreational EOE programs are optional. Other programs for Upper School students, such as our 5-day EOE field studies, are tied in with their academic classes and are required only if a student elects to pursue honors level course credit.
- Since we offer such a range of programs, we seek to maintain a qualified and diverse instructor pool that possesses a wide variety of skills and teaching experience.
- Instructors are hired as part time, seasonal employees of Crossroads School.

Job Status: Part-Time, Temporary
Desired Qualifications include:
- College graduate
- Current WFR Certification (including current CPR)
- Experience leading students on outdoor environmental education programs
- Classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency in technical outdoor skills applicable to course locations and activities
- Current drivers license
Salary: Starting at $125 per student contact day and up depending on experience
