2005 AEOE Southern Fall Camp-out Conference

"Setting the Stage..." Dates: November 4-6, 2005 Place: Highland Springs Resort, home of AEOE Institutional Member, Camp Highland, in Cherry Valley The Highland Springs Resort is now a Green Resort - striving for ecological sanity through serving organic food, using recycled products, saving energy and resources and encouraging environmentally responsible behavior! Cost: $30 Includes: Camping or Bunk-Style Lodging, Workshops, Entertainment, Dinner on Saturday - Thai Food!!! Yum!! Does NOT include: Friday Dinner (bring your own) or other meals (prepare for camping) though some snacks may be provided REGISTRATION DEADLINE extended to Saturday, October 29, 2005

General Information

• Date and Place: November 4-6, 2005 - Highland Springs Resort, home of AEOE Institutional Member, Camp Highland, in Cherry Valley
• Cost: $30, including workshops, entertainment, camping, Catered Thai dinner on Saturday, snacks, if registered by 10/29/05, $45 walk-in rate (but we need to know you are coming so we can plan for food! Walk-ins NOT guaranteed Saturday dinner, unless you call to make sure we can feed you at least a day in advance - contact Kris Pamintuan at ) Family rates: $10 for kids ages 6-12, $25 for kids over 12 - with small children, please be aware of Rattlesnakes, Mountain Lions, Coyotes and Bears (oh my!)

• Entertainment: Bluegrass with Mill Creek Expedition on Friday from 5-8pm! More TBA
• Bring: Camping gear and food/cooking gear for meals except Saturday dinner, plate, cup and silverware for Saturday dinner, naturalist gear (binoculars and bird books!), notebook and pencil for workshops, instruments, journals to share, songs to share, your enthusiasm for a new year of teaching!

**Papaya Bay Thai Restaurant will be catering Saturday night's dinner at the Southern Fall conference at Camp Highland.  Papaya Bay has six locations throughout the Inland Empire, and serves a plethora of tantalizing traditional Thai dishes, as well as scrumptious original creations.  Herbivores and omnivores alike will delight in this tantalizing treat for the tastebuds, so come and enjoy tasty food, fascinating people, and priceless edification in a delightful setting! November 4-6 at Camp Highland Outdoor School.

• Chair(s) (those Crazy Creek chairs sure are nice in workshops!)

Directions from Los Angeles Take the 10 Fwy East, or take the 60 Fwy East, which will merge with the 10 Fwy. Exit at Highland Springs Ave, then turn left (heading north). Drive for a little over 3 miles. This is a long, straight street. This street will bend to the right, then bend to the left, turning into Cherry Valley Blvd. Make a right turn at the first street, Overland Tr. Make a right turn at the second tree-lined small road into Highland Springs Resort. The main office is in the first building on the right.
