Thanks for the invitation for me to present at AEOE, I'm honored and would be delighted to present if you think what I can offer there is the best use of your resources. I say this because much of what I present can be learned more effectively and with practicality via the Internet. In that way it becomes self-empowering in each participant's local area, provides ongoing Internet support long after the conference is over, gets others involved locally, and has less of an environmental impact in getting me to Malibu.

You might consider having instead, as part of the conference, a short, practical onliine program I would design for you that folks would be required, and vow, to complete before they came to the conference. (The could optionally get academic credit for it, too). Then offer a discussion session and another short activity at the conference, for those who wanted to attend that session, led by one of my Ph.D. graduates who live near the Los Angeles area.

I offer this as an alternative because I believe we must begin to walk our talk with respect to honoring the integrity of natural systems within and around us, and our actions speak far louder than our words. To do this would be a reasonable AEOE innovative landmark effort that makes sense if we truly want to help ourselves and others come into balance and be the best citizens we can be of Earth's global life community. If you presented this idea to AEOE membership in this light, I think they might applaud it and participate. For what it might cost for food, lodging and transportation, plus my time, we might be able to provide a free Organic Psychology training book to every conference member at Malibu. See http://www.ecopsych.com/2004wli.html

I say all this with deep personal conflict because I've so enjoyed attending and presenting at AEOE in the past. It's as refreshing as a vacation. Perhaps I'll enjoy even more that I've made greater sense and use of the opportunity you present.

Now I realize why I'm called a eco-renogade, (see http://www.ecopsych.com/2005taproot.html ). I guess I tend to think outside the box if it makes a greater contribution to whole-life well-being. It's a bad habit that I can't seem to control <grin>.

Thankful Owls and Howls,

Mike Cohen

P.S . I believe we might exchange services that will support both your and our endeavors.

We are a non-profit organization that has developed a new social technology, an Organic Psychology enabling tool. People find it uniquely helpful in reversing our personal, social and environmental troubles. In sentient and enlightening nature-connected ways it empowers us to address an often overlooked psychological source of our ills.

We achieve our organic thinking and feeling goals by building mutually beneficial relationships with caring professionals like yourself: counselors, teachers, writers, consultants, publicists, artisans, funding agents and other practitioners who value having the power to transform our destructive mental activities into constructive relationships.

We are developing funding to provide training and part-time jobs at $20,000/year, or more, for individuals to be Internet and/or on-site facilitators to teach the skills of Organic Psychology to interested groups or organizations.

We offer you the services of such training, or of a guide to help your organization. Perhaps one or more individuals in your program would be interested in being trained or serve as a part-time guide or ambassador for Organic Psychology. We hope you can help us locate such individuals.

May we share Organic Psychology with you, its special benefits, how you can help us or how you might use it within your organization to further our shared goals? Would you be interested to explore if a relationship between us individually or organizationally would be worthwhile? If so, please let us know via e-mail after visiting http://www.ecopsych.com/2005orgguide.html. It links to other areas of our web site that provide advanced information.
