The Environmental Educator of the Year award will be presented at the Section
Fall Conferences – it’s not too late to nominate someone you know! We
will be recognizing someone who is currently a naturalist or teacher in the
field who has contributed to the profession, at their workplace or beyond,
to further the cause of Environmental and Outdoor Education, inspire children
and fellow teachers, or who is just a great role model for those around them. Who
inspires ~you~ and why?
If you’d like to nominate someone, please submit the form below by the
conference registration deadline to be considered for this year's award. Include
information about your nominee, a short biography as well as why you think
they deserve to be recognized with this award. Include your nominee’s
name, program, position, years working in the field of EE, other experience,
and special contributions to the field/workplace. Incomplete
nominations will not be considered. Nominations are accepted all year. The recipient
must be an active member of AEOE and attend the Fall Conference. Send nominations
to anyone
on your section's board or use the form below.
We will publish your nomination information
in the winter newsletter and on the website after the award in an article about
the winner. Be sure they are someone who will be attending the conference,
so they can be there for their award if they win! We will let you know
in advance if your nominee will be winning the award. We plan to present this
award every year at the fall conference, so if your nominee doesn’t win
this year, try again in the future!
Let someone you admire know how much they have inspired you – nominate
them for Environmental Educator of the Year!
